States and localities wishing to attract residents and foster inclusive growth should consider providing or expanding caregiving supports for both children and adults, Upjohn Institute Economist Gabrielle Pepin and Yulya Truskinovsky, an assistant professor at Wayne State University, argue in a commentary. Extending assistance to caregivers can help increase growth while improving caregivers’ well-being, they write.
