Upjohn Institute Senior Economist Tim Bartik presented highlights of his research on economic development policy today for a forum held by the Institute for Public Policy and Social Research at Michigan State University. The forum focused on Michigan's future economic development and how big a role the government should play.

Bartik's presentation drew from research described in this analysis piece: We need flexibility to address joblessness at both the neighborhood and metro levels.
