Aaron Sojourner testifies on adoption and kin guardianship incentives for Minnesota Legislature

The Upjohn Institute's Aaron Sojourner testifies today before the Minnesota Legislature on his and co-authors' research on providing financial incentives for adoption or kin guardianship. 

The testimony comes during the Legislative Task Force on Child Protection meetings, 1 to 4 p.m., central time, and will stream live. Information is at the Legislative Coordinating Commission site

Sojourner will discuss research presented in the Upjohn Institute working paper "Financial Incentives for Adoption and Kin Guardianship Improve Achievement for Foster Children" by David Simon, Sojourner, Jon Pedersen and Heidi Ombisa Skallet and summarized in the research brief "Adoption, Financial Incentives and Child Achievement."
