Institute senior economist Tim Bartik is a member of a panel at the Brookings Institution's 8th annual Municipal Finance Conference that will discuss "Communities left behind: How to narrow the gap between prospering and stagnating communities." Bartik is joined on the panel by Chris Berry, Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago; Ingrid Ellen, Furman Center for Real Estate and Urban Policy at New York University; and Rep. Dan Kildee (D-MI), Member, U.S. House of Representatives. The conference runs July 15–16 in Washington, DC.
