Teams from across the country recently participated in a U.S. Department of Labor Customer-Centered Design Challenge. The goal of the Design Challenge was to identify and develop innovative approaches for serving customers of the one-stop workforce development system. The proposal submitted by the team from Michigan Works! Southwest was selected as a finalist and the team was invited to attend a Learning Exchange and Celebration at the White House on September 19, 2016.
The Employment Management Services Division (EMSD) of the Upjohn Institute manages employment and training services for Branch, Calhoun, Kalamazoo, and St. Joseph counties under the Michigan Works! umbrella.
