Randall Eberts, president of the Upjohn Institute, announces that research staff members Marta Lachowska and Marcus Dillender have both been promoted to senior economist. Lachowska, who joined the Institute in 2010, focuses her research on the economics of social insurance, with a focus on the impact of public pensions and unemployment insurance systems on labor market outcomes and household behavior, and economics of education. She has a PhD in economics from Stockholm University. Dillender, who joined the Institute in 2013, specializes in issues that lie at the intersection of labor and health economics. He has a PhD in economics from the University of Texas at Austin.
