The REPORTS subdirectory contains the executive summary and final report, written by Mathematica Policy Research, Inc. and Berkeley Planning Associates.
The DATA subdirectory contains the data, file layouts, contents, and variable means for the Pub_Use and Empsurv datasets. For a description of variables for the Pub_Use data set, see the document PUB_USE.pdf. The survey questions used to compile the Empsurv data set can be found in the document empsurv_codebook.pdf.
These data sets can be found in comma-delimited ASCII format (.asc files) in the DATA subdirectory, along with the contents, survey codebook, file layouts and means. The Pub_Use dataset and associated files were created by Mathematica Policy Research, Inc. and the Empsurv dataset and associated files were created by Berkeley Planning Associates.
In addition to the ASCII format of the data described above, the Upjohn Institute has formatted the data into Stata version 6.0 and SAS export/transport files, which can be found in the “Upjohn Institute Created Files” folder within the DATA subdirectory.
For those using the SAS export/transport files, the file Import.sas in the "Upjohn Institute Created files" folder contains a sample program to import the SAS export/transport file into the user’s SAS system. Sample SAS programs to read the Pub_use and Empsurv ASCII files can also be found in this folder.
The IMAGES subdirectory contains the header image used in this file. This directory does not contain any information about the program itself.
